My Family’s Visit

Sorry I have been gone again for so long, it seems like I am saying that more often that not.  I’m not good at blogging while I am away and it didn’t help that 2 of the places we stayed at required you to pay for internet service, I think that’s crazy!  We didn’t give in…

My Mom, Step Dad, Aunt and Uncle got in on May 31st for their 2 week vacation and we have been busy having fun and showing them around.

One June 1st we left for Innsbruck, Austria.  My Aunt had been to Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany before, but she really wanted her husband and my Mom and Scott (Step Dad) to see it.  It’s about a 4 hour drive from here, we stayed in a hotel in Innsbruck and Neuschwanstein was about an hour away, so we planned to do that the second day we were there.  The first day we got there, checked into the hotel and walked around Innsbruck.  I have been there twice before, once last summer and also for a Christmas Market, so we knew our way around.  We ate lunch, shopped and took pictures.  It was a cloudy day, but still pretty.

He didn’t want us sitting around the hospital with him so we headed to the zoo.

The next morning we were heading out of town on our way into Germany and Mike wasn’t feeling well again, so we took him back to the hospital in Innsbruck.  He was there for about 2 hours, was given more medications-it was one of those things that there wasn’t much you could do about it, just wait it out.  Then we decided we were just going to head home and relax instead of traveling an hour North, then about 6 hours back.  We had Venice planned for the next day and wanted everyone to rest up.

We all had a pretty good time, even Mike considering his situation.  We had some wonderful meals there and to be honest, we were glad that we were in Austria with the hospital situation and not in Italy.

I will post in a few days about our trip to Venice.
